Defending Democracy began as a series of contemporary portraits representing a cross section of services, ranks, experiences and issues. An exhibition of the paintings is enriched by the authentic voice recordings of each woman.

Honest. Bold. Often surprising. Sometimes funny. Always human.
Bridging the civilian-military gap is the point! See what we are doing on the local level, at schools, art fairs and with citizen organizations.
“These women are willing to give their lives to protect our freedom, our democracy and our Constitution.
